The high season is also the dry season, with plentiful sunshine, minimal rainfall, and temperatures that range from 25℃ to 30℃ (77°F to 86°F). Note that this is also the busiest time of year for visiting the temples. November is also when we celebrate the annual Water Festival with boat races, performances, and more.

WARM & DRY

Many visitors consider the dry season (November–March) to be the best time to visit Siem Reap, but every month has its own highlights.

Typically the warmest month of the year, with temperatures averaging above 35℃ (95°F), April is also when we celebrate Khmer New Year: Pagodas fill with candles and offerings, traditional games and dances enliven outdoor squares, and special markets sell street food and handicrafts.

HOT & HAPPY

During the wet season, the foliage is at its most brilliant, and the temples and other sites are far less crowded. The moss covering the ancient stones is simply brilliant. Just be prepared for unpredictable weather: Afternoon showers break the high humidity but can make temple exploration a bit damp.
