Upon arrival in Jomsom, our BENSLEY guide will escort you to Shinta Mani Mustang. At 2,800m, the resort is among the few places in Nepal where giant Himalayan peaks can be admired at such close proximity. About 500 feet below the resort is the Kali Gandaki River which flows downstream to form the deepest gorge in the world.

By vehicle

You take the first flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (25 mins) and venture on a remarkable road trip from Pokhara to Jomsom. This route is a particularly stunning journey following the Kali Gandaki River and usually takes 5-6 hours. The path heading north towards Mustang, tracing the Kali Gandaki River, remains mostly within the Annapurna Conservation Area offering breathtaking views of the river gorge, waterfalls, lush mountainsides and a fascinating diversity of landscapes as you move through the region with views of the Himalayas. This journey is undeniably stunning and is well worth undertaking if your schedule allows. Keep in mind that the duration of the journey can sometimes be longer due to factors like seasons, weather conditions, and road conditions. During July and August, the road can be unforgiving due to landslides. As a necessary precaution to ensure our guests’ well-being and safety, we temporarily close the resort in July and August. We resume services as soon as the monsoon is over, allowing you to relish in the lush vegetation of the terrain post the rainy season.

By Flight

After boarding the first flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which lasts about 25 minutes, you’ll proceed with a short transfer to the local airport exclusively facilitating flights to Jomsom. The flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, which takes around 20 minutes, is typically available during the early hours of the day due to prevailing weather conditions in Jomsom. If there are delays or the flight is cancelled, you can either opt for a vehicle to Jomsom or to spend the night in Pokhara and then an early flight to Jomsom the next morning.
